Yep, my W went away to a massage retreat she couldn't afford, missing 7 days of work she can't afford to miss and cried poverty to me when I asked her to pay her $60 weekly 'share' of our family plan cell phone and our car insurance.

Frank, I hear you on that. Just don't know. How would I treat an acquaintance? Would say have a safe trip.

Do what you want to do......don't think of it as a "head game" for her. If you want to call and wish her a safe trip, you should. Choosing to love her even when she isn't showing love to you, is commendable. You know she won't appreciate a call/text right now...but, does that matter? You get to decide whether you choose to love.
