Yes, no doubt. No interest before, now suddenly they want control of all kinds of things. Comes with the territory, I suppose.

Only Human is such a cop out, like that gives you the excuse to mess things up! Why can't he just be honest and say he needs the list for his lawyer? No more games would be nice.

So along with the sudden interest in hschooling stuff which he hasn't had the past 8 years of course, he also told the kids again this weekend he was going to call them tonight around 6. This is the 3rd time he's told them he's going to call them and then doesn't. I think the other times he made it maybe one or even 2 nights, and then stopped calling (said he would call the nights he wasn't seeing them).

But tonight he didn't even make the call for one night! I'm ashamed to admit I even reminded him in an email. (He had emailed me about paying the house insurance and I said I would and asked him if he was going to call at 6.) He still didn't. It amazes me that even when his L is telling him what to do to be a "good" parent H can't do it. He sucks!!! I just hate that this hurts the kids you know being told something by him and then he doesn't. I guess they have learned not to trust his word or depend on him, but it makes me sad... and also embarrassed that I married someone like that! Karen

I hate to sound cold and callus but document it. Ex doesn't call on the nights he doesn't have them. I could see not talking to them maybe one night but I would be calling everynight. I just don't see this as the same guy that couldn't even order dinner with out talking to s16 when s16 was like 2 first.

They can't see it either I guess. just not a priority in lala land.

I don't think you did marry someone like that. I know for sure I didn't marry this man I'm dealing with. He's changed--dramatically. Well, in my case, it's H with the brakes off. But anyway, MLC is a very destructive personality disorder that takes away the ones we love and have built our lives around and replaced them with narcissistic little boys.

Karen, this is not the man you married! I know I wouldn't give my H a second glance if he acted this way when we met. No way! I sometimes feel like I'm searching for a missing person. Someone I haven't seen in a year.

I know you must be ready to kill when your kids are hurting. It's pain on another level.

Hang in there and give them extra hugs, extra smiles. Tell them how great they are.

I agree you guys are right. I think H was always a bit self-centered like working out when he wanted and that kind of thing. But he was more of a dependable, reliable, solid guy, with morals and values. He has definitely majorly amped up the selfishness and kind of lost some of his good qualities it seems like. I do hope someday, mostly for the kids' sake now, that he will try to get some of his good qualities back.

I go to see my glass-chewing L tomorrow am so can't wait to get that over! Luckily, Terrific Tuesday, the afterschool program I do with D8 is tomorrow so something to look forward to! D8 is dying for us to go jogging in between, but we both have a tiny bit of coughing left, so I'm trying to keep pushing that off. I talked her out of it today and hopefully I can tomorrow! She's a stubborn little girl; don't know where she gets that from!!! Yeah, me!!! Karen
