We were the same way this year, used to mow about 5 acres and now we just do about 2. Used to take 6 hours to do the whole thing, we don't have a zero turn. Looked at some at the beginning of Spring this year, but didn't get one. Just used our sears lawn tractor. H used to do the weed eating, and I would mow. At times when he was working all the time, I did it all, but I hated to weed eat.
We raked our yard around the house last year because it was so high once, I hated that! It was not fun at all. I would say you definately go the short end there!!
Our yard always looked really good until this year, and has been something that my H has not understood as to why he hasn't wanted to do anything around the house. It is all just another piece of this.
