I agree they don't need a mother BUT there is no question that people in MLC are avoidant and in denial about many things and that can include their own health. I just know that if my H had physical symptoms that preceded something terrible happeneing and I had not tried somehow to reason with him to seek medical attention, I would have trouble living with myself.
I guess in some strange way, I am fortunate because not is my H a bit of a hypocondriac, he has death issues to boot so there is no need for me to push him to go to the doctor.
MWG, na is right about your kids needing your H to be alive and healthy. Would your S be able to encourage him to see medical attention?
MWG, I just wanted to say that i am sorry you are in this position w/H medical-wise. It must be very difficult because you're concerned but you can't make him do anything.
Given that you have tried to help and have been rebuffed, you can't blame yourself here. It is your H's responsibility.
