I am concerned about your neighbor, that doesn't sound right to me. I'm so glad you are taking a different route with your dog. I wouldn't go back by him again & if he asked just tell him how you feel.
You are a wonderful person & I'm like you, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but you have to protect yourself!
