I think the lunch with the kiddos sounds great! my children love it when I get the chance to do that. you might want to grab a canoe and take with ya just in case tho lol! its cold here too, and its pouring! still no where for the rain to go, my mil lent me one of her vehicles so I could get into chemo this morning, and check my bridges for flooding and stuff. glad I dont have to go to wichita for anything, I hate that place when it pours. thinking of you today, try to stay warm and dry, and enjoy lunch! hugs

My W got one 9 years ago. I wouldn't have a tat for myself, but I guess I understand the appeal. W got a tat on her ankle some years back and I think did it to annoy me. I wouldn't be surprised if she gets another one with OM. She has lost her mind. Texted me this AM "R U OK?" I won't respond. She doesn't care, and I don't have anything to say to her.

LE, I never got the tattoo I wanted, and recently, I decided I have a lot of resentment for always 'giving in' to what Hus told me I had to do to keep him around. I'm tired of jumping through hoops. I'm tired of being a doormat. I agree, abuse is not justification for an affair, even an EA, but I believe it is time for me to say enough is enough, I'm done. I'll make my peace with the help of my priest and my family.

My W went tattoo crazy after she got out of rehab two years ago. I think that place actually made her worse; it was like a bunch young people sharing problems while trying not to imbibe in their addiction. That kinda place puts people at risk of EA/PAs to like most have never known. I tried to roll with the tattoo thing; even got one myself with the W. Thought it would help us bond after her time away in refab (I like that, it was a spelling error; but maybe she did come out refabricated).
Afterwards, she just seemed to take any male attention and was proud of tats and where they were. She wonders why I would never buy her a breast job.
LE, here's hoping we make ourselves better day by day.

I can see where the resentment would evolve goldey. I'm sure resentment towards me is another reason my W bailed. I've learned that you have to accept someone as they are, in order to truly love them. I couldn't do that with my W and now I am here and miserable. If you leave, then your H may get to the point that I have reached. My W's 1st affair only strengthened my resolve that I was right and she was wrong. Now I understand that she wasn't happy and made herself emotionally avaiable. She has her issues and hasn't done anything to resolve them. I cannot believe her next relationship will be any better than ours. She doesn't see it that way, so I have no choice but to accept it and move on.

Some of my friends have tatoos and I remember once I was out with some friends and they were sharing what piercing or tatoo they were going to get next. One wanted a tongue piercing (food collector... ick...), and another had one of those slut tatoos (gosh, just wear black or hot pink thongs and low cut jeans that gets more then enough attention...).
So when it came to my turn I said... uh.... permanent make-up. Eyebrows like Linda Evangelista... they all looked at me like I came from a different planet!
Not that I have anything against tatoos. I also consider budget... for example, given the choice.... Botox or skull on my arm? Uh... botox.
There is no arriving, ever. It is all a continual becoming.
