MWG, I wondered what you were doing up so early, posting on my thread!
I don't blame you for getting upset. That doesn't seem like an acceptable thing for your S and his friends to do. On the other hand, I imagine it will take some adjustment if your S is used to being up and having his friend(s) there at all hours, as I guess was the sitch before his friend moved out. However, it is your house and your car, and you have every right (and in fact, duty, IMO) to set the rules. Beyond that...I definitely wouldn't want to say more, as I don't think childless people should give parenting advice!
I think I would be a terrible parent, as I have no tolerance for misbehavior!
