I just lost my very detailed post, and ya'll know how long it might have been.
Much shorter recap.
I beat her to the apartment and I left her toilet rim shiny and new. I also left a copy of D11's report card under the bag.
On the way to grandmas to leave off the girls, she leaves a VM because I ignored her call. Saying that she is on her way to the apartment and if I already got the girls. She is also going to get Juli's gift. I leave off the girls, get my gift for D6 and then call B. She had texted me twice and called twice while I was at the folks.
On the way to her apartment, the wife calls me again from her place. I listen to the VM because I ignored it. If I could have the girls call her. And thanks for the report card. She found it. At first listen, it sounded sarcastic. Listening to it again today, it was a nice voice. I know her sarcastic voice. The message was like nothing.
I call her back after a bit. I matter of factly inform her that the girls are at grandma's house spending the night and that I reminded D11 to call her. She said that she would call them over there. I said ok and said goodbye. She said goodbye, but very sad sounding.
I go to dinner with B. We go pick up K from one bar and head to Houlihans. We meet a lot of people. We see a girl that B and I talked about at dinner. Former coworker. Freaking coincidence. We make plans to all get together soon. At my place.
We end up sitting and talking to a couple that is on their first date. We all were talking, but at one point, she and I were talking. K kept announcing how she wanted to be with me, but I wouldn't let it happen. She was messing around.
In talking to the girl, we talked about a lot of stuff. How I'm separated, how the girls I was with are just good friends helping me, about my kids, about marriage. She talks a bit about herself and I guess that she is a teacher. I surprised her.
Ends up, in talking to her some more, she know my D11! She taught at our elementary school last year. She was not D11's teacher but she knows her well. She tells me how sweet D11 is and we talk about how she is taking things. I let her know that D11 made all A's and she was just as excited for her.
What a small world.
I was a good boy again, and go home alone, again. Stayed up too late, though.
At work, I have a quarantined email. From the wife's work email. Sent around 2:45 but I didn't get notice until 1:45am. I allow it and it is an email that was forwarded to her that she forwarded to me. A photo inside of the Vatican that shows a light image of an angel. Actual photo supposedly. Part of the email said,
In 8 minutes you will receive something you have long awaited.
Have faith. "
It has been a very odd last 24 hours.
I had called S14 on the way to grandmas and asked him if he had a travel bag. He thinks he remembers he did. Maybe like 5 months ago. I ask him about possible things that might have been in it. He can't answer. Maybe...doesn't remember. He remembers it maybe being black. But hasn't seen it in a while.
Slight chance, maybe. I may have to let him know that if he comes across it when he gets back, to not use the toothbrush.
