I love mothers (especially mine). The essence of love...how true....it is so nice that you can appreciate your mom this way. We are VERY lucky.

Looks like I will need to take my time and do a little browsing next time I an grocery shopping. Maybe this weekend...I will slow down a little and look at the surroundings a little (usually I have blinkers on and rush out of there as soon as possible).

Ken..

I think of the vision they had.. of making the island a grid, changing the very landscape to become a world of concrete, bricks and steel. And the forethought of having a double train subway that keeps it workable today. The whole water system.. amazing.

Tall skyscrapers.. the New York Times that's supposed to look like it's going up to the sky.. but really looks unfinished. Colorful buildings with designs in glass. That beauty you feel, the temptations resisted, the deals found.. being a tourist, trying to be a New Yorker. A different world a train ride away. Oh yes, and that mildly creepy feeling of walking late at night alone to make the train with moments to spare. And Zaro's bakery.. Arthur Ave bread...

Tell me to hush. I like it there. Sounds like you do too.

Mikey..

It was neat that you called.. and even funny (in a good way) to hear your voice as I was navigating my way through a sea of people with a smile on my face. Wait wait.. there's supposed to be trees and grass.. my crazy dog when you call. A different world, a GAL getting away from my doldrums to do what is important.. share and love life.

Good for you in all you accomplish.. and my favorite female of all those who surround you is lilangel2 with her twinkling eyes and loving smile to her daddy.

*hugs*

Uhhh.. Kerry..

Thanks for the helpful hints.. but the idea of eating swinging male thingies is a bit too suggestive in my current starved state. I'd prefer the real thing. (Darn.. that came out wrong.. I wouldn't really eat eat it) ((Crap, that sounded even worse!))

Uhhh.. never mind.

*hugs*

PS.. like I've said.. you're twistedly brilliant and bring a smile to my face!

Hey Ready..

Being busy without "making busy" is good, keeping me growing in MY life.

My counselor gave me a sketch book and is having me draw whatever I feel making sure I put anger in there. I'm allowed free range to put anything in it. Writing is my element. Singing is my new venture.

Although I used to sketch a lot with great industry, I haven't done a thing in years. I find if I sit down with a time limit in mind (like waiting in her waiting room.. productive procrastination) lots of good things come out. It's all about learning to express things outside my comfort range. Spooky neat!

At the end of the day, it makes me feel so sleeeeeeeeeeepy, too.

lwb..

You are positively brilliant! But wait.. can men find the prepared food section? Most seem to become the most exquisite chefs with all the time on their hands.

Maybe we should ask the menfolk about where the best place is to meet quality guys?

*hugs*

Today started with worry and concern.

My daughter complained last night that her one leg felt wobbly and asked for the medication before I suggested it. This morning she crawled into my bed saying she couldn't feel anything in her leg, that it felt dead. I tried poking it with the end of a pen, having her curl her toes and she barely felt it.

I massaged the calf sometimes squeezing tight. Feeling slowly came back but it was spooky. By the time she left for school she was walking normally. This was the same calf that had a major cramp in the last week during the swim meet. She mentioned that this summer whenever she sat cross legged her legs felt very strange. Perhaps some of the mystery behind her joint and muscle painful episondes will slowly come to light.

At one point the docs thought she had the beginnings of a condition that slowly paralyzes a kid from the feet up leaving them in a wheelchair until it disappears. Strange.

Positive attitude time, keep track of what happens and be the mom.

And John..

Don't be afraid to ask for help while looking clueless and/or knowledgeable. Women like to guide men in the complexities of shopping.

I'd check out a nice cigar place, puff away and see how many women enter. A woman who appreciates a cigar either as a gift or consumption might be an interesting person to know.

*hugs*

PS.. still got that image in my head.

The image Woog and the rest of the guys are trying to erase? I think I hava a better shot at meeting a woamn at the grocery store....would she be as interesting as one shopping ina cigar store????? Probably not, but I would probably have to spend the day there to just see a couple of gals...

Hope your D feels better and her condition is diagnosed as something very very minor.
