How do you treat a serious life threatening injury? How do the treatments change as the wound heals? What do you do to monitor it? How long does it take to get better? How do you modify expectations?
If two people were trying to dance around a big ole elephant that hurt them both, who do you blame? What is blaming worth? Do you shoot the elephant?
My brother keeps asking me, "Do you think anything's going to change while you're beating that dead horse?" Of course I get a tad annoyed but eventually hear what he's saying.

Thanks for the encouragements and thoughts. Heard about Jen in Ven's H getting killed. Shocking. Makes me so thankful that my M is being given a second chance, and that my life is shared with someone I love.

g, I wish you were still on FB and then I could say more. You mean the world to me. I don't know how I would have gotten through all of this without your friendship and insight. Woke up early. W started the day off right, and put a smile on my face :-)
Full day at work today but things are moving along well. I think this evening W and SD are going to have a girls' night out and go see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. They haven't gotten to do anything, just the two of them, in a while. My BIL may come over so I'll have someone to hang out with.
XOM had left a couple of phone messages for W this week, which she has ignored.

We've finalized the plans, now just waiting for the final quote from the builder to take to the bank. Once the financing comes through (and the bank guy tells me it should without too much trouble - even with everything that is going on in the markets), we'll start digging a hole in the ground. We're both super excited and can't wait to see walls go up!
I just realized it has been 5 days since I have posted on my own thread. That must be some record for me. I am really thankful for this site and everyone I have met here. Best wishes. I'm still lurking!
