((((Ali, Lovely, Future Girl, Beth, Mishka, Michelle)))))

I'm glad you approve of CEOs compliment. I thought it was a pretty good one myself. He is lovely sometimes, and it's nice to have someone like him be so complimentary about me.

So, not much to report from the past couple of days. I had a great time last night with Julia at choir, and we met for lunch today with a new DBer. Julia is amazing- very empathetic and a great listener so she's going to teach me her skills. She also got chatted up by a random man in the street last night, which I notice she didn't post on her thread. All proof that Julia is super-hot!

CEO took me out for lunch yesterday, which sounds as though he made a special effort to invite me, except that he didn't. I was trying to get rid of him by asking if he was on his way to lunch and ended up going along. It was nice but tense for me as it's difficult to eat when a million butterflies are beating their wings against your stomach wall. He spent a lot of time telling me about a girl who's stalking him and wants his babies and asking whether I thought he was better looking with or without his glasses (he's having LASIK next week).

Me: I guess without glasses is good- you can carry off both so you're lucky
CEO: That's good because what you think is important to me
Me: Really! (and laugh sarcastically)
CEO: Yes, I can't have you thinking I'm a minger
[I didn't know how to respond to that so told a random story about me not being able to wear glasses; I had LASIK 10 years ago)

He was pretty stressed today with work stuff, but caught him looking at me a couple of times. Once he came and stood by my desk and did some gazing. Very sweet, very flattering. Very hot in his black suit. *sigh*

No news on the H front- he's probably living it up on his hols, and I'm astonishingly unfazed by it so far; I thought I'd be really gutted and thinking about it all the time but I'm not and I feel fine. It's been good being busy this week and going out. I went and met some old friends tonight and the waiter gave me all my drinks for free which was flattering. Unfortunately I twisted my ankle on the way home and it's swelled up like a grapefruit so I hope it's OK for tomorrow- we have team drinks in the evening. And then it'll be Friday.

Hope you guys are all doing OK,

L. xx

Sorry to hear about your ankle! Take care of yourself sweetie!

Hang in there, it's almost Friday.

And I'm glad there's not too much drama in your life.

Sounds like you are just enjoying your GAL stuff and being the wonderful person that you are!

LMAO Lisa

You forgot to mention that the man was a bit of a minger! The guy on the tube today wasn't so bad though... ;\)

I need a lovely CEO though who gazes at me. That sounds just lovely! Do you have a plan for h at the moment or are you waiting and seeing?

Gosh, the ankle doesn't sound fun. The grapefruit is never a good look but perhaps CEO can rub it better! Elevation is the key perhaps or maybe... homeopathy! Arnica is the remedy I think. Check me, I'm catching on! My Trustees will be pleased!

Arnica is an anti-inflammatory as I recall! \:\)

I'd combine it with elevation and ice and rest though lol.

Well, it's the most beautiful grapefruit in all of England!

I'm tempted by LASIK, especially if it was free! I can't proper ly watch TV in bad! (And I don't have anything else to do!) I have to wear my glasses, but they are graduated bifocals (don't laugh), so I really can't get my head into a position that works! I found an old pair, before bifocals, that seems to work better, but what a pain!

I don't think that there is any question that CEO is interested. It's just that between you being married, and his employee, he is doing the proper thing! I might actually have to respect him for that. Even if I'm jealous that he gets to witness your wonderfulness firsthand!

There are other treatments, though they might actually be more of distractions than treatments!

Lisa,
Wow, I am glad you are having a good week, I wondered how you would be feeling with him away on holiday... with the present stars right now, I wouyldnt be surprised if alot of 'stuff' is coming up for him (he may even be thinking about you!). You could be right when you said its a good thing that he is spending all week with her, he may get sick of her. Its their first holiday together afterall, so it will either go well, or badly I suppose. Be interesting to see how he is with you when he gets back.

Although, seeing as you said "a million butterflies" were beating their wings at lunch with CEO, I'm not sure why we are still even having this debate !!?? (please have CEO's babies, please, pllllleeeeaaaaaseee)
