Freindly Gal, I like the fancy pumpkins.
Here are a few links to some of the carvings I've done the last couple of years:

Ok, so my secret is out...zombie pumpkin stencils ROCK!!!
I'm thinking about having a party for the kids, but I'm still not sure. I'm not sure how I'd swing it since DD7 wants to trick or treat, but DS is too old. What with the deep voice and moustache, I'm pretty sure he'd get some static. I thought about taking her out until 8pm or so and then letting him have his friends over from 8:30 until 11 or so.... We'll see.

GF, I have a costume for S12. Its kinds gross, but no one else will have it. My son was a brain donor a couple of years ago. I got him a hospital gown, and took the label off of one of those 5lb. licorice tubs and replaced it with a piece of paper that said "Diseased Brain". It had bio-hazard symbols and a made up hospital name (Haddonfield Memorial...Halloween). I pasted that on there. Got a head of cauliflower and cut off all the green and made it kinda brain shaped and put it in the tub. I added some water, a little milk and a bit of red food coloring. Put a scar on his head and voila... A Brain Donor! Simple, cheap and quick. My kids are kinda twisted, like their mother so they lean more towards the spooky.

I'm having a pretty good day, how 'bout you?
