Hi nlt,
Thanks, I had a nice week-end. The dance performance yesterday evening was absolutely super and we all enjoyed it. I was lucky I got a seat next to my sisters. Afterwards we all went for a drink.

Today it was sunny again and I went for a walk and a hot chocolate on the water front.

Hi TL:

My aunt is doing okay but I know she misses companionship.

My uncle had gone to visit her in FL a few times and she knew he was thinking about marrying ow. This was at Christmas time he went to visit last year, and do you know what she gave him? A book titled something like, "How to have a successful marriage." I thought it was hilarious.

Hot chocolate on the waterfront sounds wonderful.

Hi MWG,
I am glad that your aunt is doing OK. Giving her XH a book re successful marriage is funny. She probably thought that he was not a terribly good husband!

Journaling:
I had quite a nice day walking on the water front. It was a sunny and warm day. I also had to do some food shopping as my sister will come tomorrow.

I have not heard from H.

Oh you lucky duck walking on the water front. And all I get to walk on is the desert floor.

My uncle (he is my dad's youngest brother) cheated on his wife several times. It just got to the point where she could not stand it anymore and she finally filed for divorce. He tried to win her heart over and over and failed each time.

TL it will be interesting to hear how your h responds to the e-mail you sent. If a D is what he wants, let him work it.

It's good you are staying active and trying to not focus on your h.

Hi MWG, nlt and glamgirl,
Thanks for checking in on me.

My sister went back home today. We had a lovely time and did a few things in the area. The weather was quite good and we were able to enjoy walks and sitting outdoors.

MIL called me. She is quite mad at H for not letting her know where he is and for hardly contacting her or his family. She is hurt that he has hardly any contact with his family. (So he really does not let ANYBODY know where he is. I cannot imagine why he wants to do that.) I told her that H still wants a D and that I have the feeling he is worse than when he left. She replied that she thinks he is lost and still does not know what he wants. That she lost a son and I lost a H, and that she would not blame me if I did not want H back! We talked about lots of things regarding H and had a long chat.

H sent me an e-mail but did not mention D again or anything about it. At least he replied to another question, which I was grateful for.

I don't blame your aunt. I guess she did not trust him anymore, but it is still sad that they were not able to work it out.

Hi nlt,

Thanks for popping in and your wishes. I did have a nice week.

Journaling:
I still find it very hard not to think of H daily and I really don't know if I will ever be healed completely. I still miss the old H very much but I try not to dwell on the past.

Although deep down I still hope that one day H will return, I need to give that up and move on. I am not sure whether I am really ready to move on with my life however, I would not like to spend the rest of my life without a male companion.

I did a few things during the week and quite enjoyed myself. I had my hair cut and was quite pleased with the result. I also went to a concert and met friends. The weather has really been beautiful and quite warm and I went for long walks alone or with friends. And I also invited a couple of friends to my place for a drink or tea. My female friends (I did not make any new male friends unless as a couple) say that they like to spend time with me since I am fun to be with and we laugh a lot. I am happy that I seem to bring some joy to these friends, as most of them have the same problems as I!

I am trying to find out whether there are any clubs or social networks in my area and have found one club where I will join the members one evening. Maybe I will like to join the club and make some new friends that way. I also applied for a part-time job but I don't have much hope of getting it.
