Well, I guess you could say I was already trained somewhat.
My H is the type of person who thinks "holidays" are commercialized and a way to make money.
He very rarely got Valentine's Day flowers, but a few times he did get me an anniversary card.
The only thing we ever did on our anniversary is I would make a special meal.
Like I said, I think it was somewhat easier because he is not one to celebrate much of anything. He is not a scrooge and a few Christmases he actually did the shopping. Wow, I wish he would do that all the time as he is a wonderful shopper.
One year he got me bags of Williams-Sonoma things. I loved it.
