Jen--holding you in prayer. I'm so sorry for your loss, especially in such a horrible crime.

I used to attend a lot of funerals as part of my ministry job, and one thing I remember that made a lot of sense is from the pastor's funeral sermons. He would always say that love is forever. When someone we love dies, their love doesn't die with them. Rather, it is made eternal and made perfect. None of our temporal issues or baggage complicating it--it is perfect, as it was intended to be. I know this won't mean much now, but I hope in the future it may be a comfort to you.
