hi rickya,

I read a little bit about your story and just want to encourage you to keep fighting for your marriage. My wife recently divorced me and she was right to do so - so now I am fighting for our marriage to be restored - so I know a little bit of how you are feeling.

However, most of this "fight" or standing for your marriage will be within - battling our emotions, fears, discouragement, etc. But you can do this. This is going to be a crucible and a time of really testing our character, our faith, our commitment and our patience. But nothing great is without a sacrifice.

I definitely feel like giving up and I'm sure you do too at times. However, if you believe your marriage is worth saving, don't give up no matter how bad the circumstances are. Realize that this is going to be a long journey - months or even over a year. I agree with the other posters on your previous thread - learning everything you can about DBing and definitely try to GAL. Exercise has really helped and prayer has done wonders.

I'm praying and hoping that both you and I will be able to look back a year or so from now - knowing that we didn't give up and that our marriages were restored.

me too my friend me too, but for now it is extremely hard everybody is telling me it is over move on, I'm the only that believes in my world anyway, so I just keep praying and waiting, but if there is another guy, I don't know what I'll do. My imagination is my enemy at this point.

Rickya,

Don't listen to what other people say, it is not over until you say it is over. I know all about the imagination. Keep praying , ask the Lord for guidance , strength , and patience. You will surprised how much he can do.

Don't ever give up, God rewards faithfulness. There are groups out there to support you. rejoice ministries comes to mind. If you are called to be a stander, stand proud.

I have seen several statistics (sorry, I am going by memory here and do not have a source) that suggest between 8-20% of divorces eventually end up in remarriage - 14% seems to be the most common figure.

I also would suggest you take a look at Rejoice Ministries and perhaps sign up for the daily email.

I too wish for a re-marriage. Sometimes I wonder why though, considering she has lied and cheated and was generally disrespectful before announcing she wanted out. I add that last part because after the bomb we got along great, including marital relations for the next seven months. I realize she is a poster child for MLC, but I still can not believe she did all this.
