oooh I could spit fire right now. D got home from tennis today at 7pm and when I asked what she had for lunch she said "nothing". I called xh and asked him what she had because sometimes she forgets (eye rolling) things like that. He said she didn't eat lunch! WTF? I so wanted to get angry at him but instead I said "H please remember that she has a snack in school around 11:30 so she has to have lunch after we pick her up at 2. Today she hasn't had anything in her belly since midday" He said "ok". Just last week I would have went on and on about her needing to have lunch and how could he be so irresponsible etc. but for some reason I was able to stay in the moment and tell him clearly what was expected without any blame. I'm still rotted over this but at least I can honestly say he doesn't know how upset I was/am.

I swear how could he forget to give her lunch or not make time for it? He said "she did her homework, then she was in the pool and then she had tennis" I was thinking "so and you can go 7 hours without eating?? She's 6 so she needs to eat". Can't he get his head out of his A$$ or should I say mobile and remember to feed the child!!!

I'm venting here and this may seem trival to some but it's things like this that tick me off sometimes. To top it all off when SIL dropped her off she was eating a Jolly Rancher stick...
