I am starting this thread with something encouraging:
Yesterday, I sent my H a funny email and he loved it. He asked if I still had a problem in the basement and mentioned that we never finished painting it. I emailed back "Yes" and he asked if he could drop by yesterday. I nearly fell off my chair!
The visit went well. He did the work and was very sweet. He did the work all by himself because I wasn't supposed to breathe in the fumes.
He slept over, something he hadn't done in a LONG time (many months). I praise God and thank Him that my H made the contact. W
While he was working, I prayed the Power of Praying Wife prayers (most of the book) and the Marriage Prayer and Hedge of Thorns.
Then this morning, I realized that he must have read the post-it notes I left for myself in the bathroom: 1) Ask God to give you a fresh supply of patience each day 2) For now, turn the other cheek and walk the extra mile 3) Paint a picture of you and H together again when everything looks bleak - goal
The "worst" one is (3) so I don't know if he got put off. He must have read the note when he took a shower last night, but didn't show signs of getting put off. Unless he read it this morning... I don't know for sure.
He was very affectionate last night, and held my hand while sleeping. This morning he said Good morning and hugged me.
