To everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to be born, a time to die. A time to plant, a time to reap. A time to kill, a time to heal. A time to laugh, a time to weep.
To everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to build up, a time to break down. A time to dance, a time to mourn. A time to cast away stones. A time to gather stones together.
To everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under heaven. A time of love, a time of hate. A time of war, a time of peace. A time you may embrace. A time to refrain from embracing.
To everything, turn, turn, turn. There is a season, turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to gain, a time to lose. A time to rend, a time to sow. A time for love, a time for hate. A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
Happy Fall, everyone!!
Well friends I worked on Saturday, but I had today off. Today is the Fall Equinox, and the first day of fall. So I decided to clean away the debris of summer literally and figuratively. After I took Argo for a long walk at the dog park I went grocery shopping and then proceeded to Clean Mightily. I put away the fans of summer and set out the bird feeders with fresh seed. Did many loads of laundry, and made a big pot of Garbage Soup. I learned how to do this from my dear granny, who would take all the leftover bits or slightly wilted bits and cook them all up in a soup pot. Used up some celery, onions, and salsa. Added lentils and chicken broth and potatoes. Yum!
Today was the first day of classes for DD. Early I sent her a "good luck" text, and at about 9 she called me, furious at her roommate who is getting on her case about not doing the dishes. She was angry because she feels like she has been doing more than her share and she is getting blamed for 3rd roommates mess. sigh. She also did not get into a class she needs, even tho she is a senior and first on the wait list. Poor DD! We talked for a while and I suggested some communication techniques. We don't want this to simmer all year!
She also took our (her) kitty to the vet today. He is 20 and will be 21 on Valentines Day! He seems to be in good shape, but is down quite a few pounds from 9 to 7. So he is on special food to build up his weight.
The other day I met a woman at the dog park. She is freshly divorced, and her xh lives right around the corner w/ OW…w number 2. I mentioned to her that that must be tough. She said it was until she turned it around in her mind and realized that OW has to see HER!
I thought that was a good trick.
Which Goddess are you? A friend sent me this. It turns out that besides being SG I am also Artemis. If you read the profiles for it fits me almost to a T. I guess I have a little of Aphrodite thrown in there too.
So friends, enjoy the turning of the seasons.

Tonight I talked w/S for a bit. It turns out he needs to have a root canal, his face is all swollen and he is on painkillers and antibiotics.
I was at dinner with a GF and wouldn't you know she used to be a dental hygienist and after I was done w/S on the cell she asked me all these questions about the situation and I didn't know.
She gave me graphic details about what goes on w/ a root canal and I am all verklempt and worried about him 90 miles away.
Plus DD has been having a heck of a week.
My GF said being a mom is like wearing your heart on the outside. I said yeah, but my heart is spread out all over the state in SLO and SF.

SG, I've had several root canals and they're a piece of cake!!! Seriously, they'll just numb him up and he'll feel nothing. And, when it's over, the swelling and pain will be completely gone and that tooth will never hurt again!!!
It will be fine but I know how it's our job to worry about them.......
