Hello, dear friends. TD, please DO let us know how you are doing! It's so nice to have a blast from the past! Two in one week--WOW!
One additional note about dtr's birthday. As you kow I cancelled the family birthday dinner on Sunday and took D17 shopping instead. Then on Monday my ex asked me if WE were going to take her out on her actual birthday. I replied that since I'd see her for breakfast he could take her out for dinner. It said he thought both of us should take her out. I told him I understood that he wanted to include gf so again, he could take her out for dinner. He actually got mad at me saying I wasn't listening. Apparently it's ok for the 3 of us to go, but he wanted to include gf if other family members were included. What is that all about???
It really doesn't matter now. I'm out of the party planning business for his side of the family!
If my X wanted her and her husband to join me for dinner with my D14 I really would think something was up.
Sounds like he is wanting to force you into presenting a situataion that is OK with your belief system and you are resisting. Since you live in America and you have a choice I applaud your choice. Good for you Mattie stick to your guns.

Just returned from a quick 4 day get-away to my parents. It was delightful to be pampered and to feel relaxed. D18 was not happy staying with her dad....said she didn't feel comfortable there and "it's not even Dad's house!" She is not happy being here either, but guess it's the lessor of two evils!
So nice to hear that you a nice trip. I'm glad you got some R&R and pampering.
Hmmmm...wonder why you daughter wasn't comfortable? I sure hope he realized that. I'm sure it wouldn't make much difference to him, but it has to give you some satisfaction!
Hugs, Yoyo
