My weekend was fine. It was a bit surreal. I took Friday off work and spent most of my weekend driving all over this part of the northwest running errands. A lot of them were things that I would normally order online or whatever, but for some reason I was in the mood to drive and be alone this weekend. And since I didn't have the kids it worked out well.
I also went to a friends for dinner and stayed with them. It was nice and they are great people, but I felt like a third wheel. That seems to be happening a lot lately.
I've only been to Cabelas once and it was this last summer in Utah. I had two small children in tow and could have spent much more time there. They did have an electronic shooting gallery to keep the kids entertained. Have fun with the new toys!
That must be a relief, but I am sure you also have a lot of sadness over this. You did all you could and I am sure your kids and yourself know that. You are a good man and have nothing to be ashamed of.
