One of the stupidest movies I've ever seen, btw.

Yikes, it's been awhile since I had a thread of my very own.......

Friday is court with my X. Saw my A last week and got my ducks in a row as far as blah blah blah.....Even tho I have a very strong case, if X doesn't have any money as he claims, how will he pay me??? Ah well, at least he'll know I'm not just accepting his word that he's broke. His word in the past has meant nothing.

Soooooooo, after weeks of angst, finally got my D's college financing all squared away. Hopefully, I will not be supporting her any longer. If she had graduated in 4 yrs, it all would've been paid for but since she spent one yr enjoying herself and decided to switch majors, she's having to get student loans that she'll have to repay.

We sold the "camper from hell." HATED it!!! I still don't understand what is enjoyable about sitting in dirt, staring into a campfire, while slathered in smelly bugspray which makes my lips go numb. On top of that sharing a shower with several dozen peeps that I don't know is just plain creepy!!! So, after our last "attempt" at camping, we brought it home, cleaned it out, put a for sale sign on it and sold it the next day!!! As God is my witness, I will never camp again!!!!

Yesterday, I made reservations for MG and I to visit my Mom for Thanksgiving weekend and then we're going to Key West for a week!!! MG is not going on the Tiger Cruise with his son after all. Instead they will go hiking in the Grand Canyon after the first of the year...yawn......

My former boss has gotten over not speaking to me because I quit and wants to be buds. I'm glad because I really like, admire and respect her. I was pretty surprised at how she reacted to my resigning. And, she lives close by and loves wine!!!!

So, folks, whacha havin'?

I will have some coffee this early in the morning Queenie. I have to drive all over the state today for work. I hope I can find some gas to get back home tonight - we're out in the town I live in. Oh and it's gonna cost me $1 more per gallon than I paid last week - IF I can find some. Geez.

I agree with you. Camping is not my thing. Your description is perfect.

Good luck in court today. I surely hope the court doesn't just take his word for it. I hope they make him prove it. Anyone can go into court and lie Queenie, it happens every day!

GREAT!!!! Just what we need on a Monday morning - another ANGST-filled blog!!!!! (Just kidding - LOL!)

I've been thinking about going after my ex for back CS but not sure I'd get it. Still pondering. You are going to "go for it" and should. I'm suspecting you'll get something for your efforts plus a sense of vindication that you deserve. Is that the right word?

So, you don't like camping, eh? Sure you wanna still come to my cottage? You missed GF weekend but we'll do it again next year. We do have an indoor shower, but the water pressure is kinda slow. And I do like having campfires with friends but not this w/e - too much rain! Oh well. I don't blame you for selling - nothing about it appealed to you.

Your D, like mine, will learn a thing or 2 from their "year off" experience. Like handling debt. My son is still paying off his student loans from his 2nd education (I paid his firts on my own).

Anyway, I'm glad you have a thread of your own again. Now I have a place to visit you and ask for...

COFFEE PLEASE!

That's the understatement of the century!!!

Ya know, I'm OK during the day when we're out kayaking, quad riding, hiking or whatever. It's just that then I want a hot shower, a comfy bed, some nice smelling lotion and a book to read in the quiet of my very own room.

My court date is not about child support. Our D was 18 when our D was final. It's part of my settlement (not alimony either). He was to pay me X amount of dollars up front (which he did) and the rest payable quarterly over 5 yrs. I was stupid to agree to this. Anyway, he stopped paying about 1 1/2 yrs ago so according to our settlement, it accrues interest.

If I get this money, I'll probably buy a winter home in FL. If I don't get it, I'll probably start praying that he gets hit by a truck!!!! ;\)

OK, off to be productive. Today's my day to sign up for a couple of art classes.

Can we buy this house together? I want one too! Let me know. We could be the Golden Girls.

I actually love to go camping, but I don't want to be on the ground anymore. I want to buy a solid-side trailer with a bathroom and shower, and bunks in the back. It will be more like a hotel room on wheels. \:\)

What art classes are you going to take (asks the art teacher)?

Jilly,

Sorry you didn't find enjoyment with sleeping in the outdoors.

It's OK. More for me.

Go get him on Friday. When you're done with that disaster, maybe you could go after my former employer.
