Bridget, she will be 16 next August. Yes, she is pretty mature for her age. She does not believe in taking cr@p from anyone, not even her dad. They used to be close....his actions have changed that.
I will definitely talk w/ her about setting boundaries....Thanks for the advice! I surely do NOT want my D15 one day marrying a man like her dad!
YES, they do need to know how to set rules/boundaries for how they are treated. She is usually pretty good about this when it comes to her boyfriends.
Thank Goodness for Bill...she couldn't get in touch w/ me at first, so she called Bill. He was kind and loving to her and was able to talk to her. He told her the same thing I did....to stay in her room or away from her dad until it was time for him to bring them home. He (Bill) is a VERY loving bonus-father and my kids love him very much! She was very appreciative of the fact that he took the time to talk w/ her. I so hope through OUR marriage that our children are able to see what a marriage/true love should be like.
