I am not sure if any of you can help me or have been through this. But I am pretty sure I have an STD. I haven't been to the doctor about it. I tried to get into my GYN but the soonest she could see me is September 25 and that won't work either. I am not sure where to turn.
Everything I am reading online points to me having genital warts. The time line from the last time my xh and I had sexual contact and the first outbreak of them is right on target. I also know (way after the fact) that this OW of his has HPV. So it is very possible. I am a little scared and very angry.
At the time (February), XH had broken up with the OW and I was convinced that he was only an EA with some kissing. I tried to be sexual with him because he wanted it and I thought that would help my marriage. I was so wrong.
If nothing else....I hope this is a word of wisdom to those of you out there starting this road.

Oh, Sara so sorry!!! I think you shouldn't wait too long. Can you go to a walk in clinic? They usually will see you same-day appts, even on the weekend. I've had to do that before with the kids when their Dr. is too busy and weekends! The doctors there are usually as good or better than the regular HMO drs. I think! I hope you feel better soon!!!! This might sound silly, but I can't find a walk in clinic in my area. At least not online. I will look in the phone book. The one clinic I saw, only deals with STDs on Tuesday from 12-2. Isn't that nice?

Well I just got back from the ER. After hours of sitting around waiting for test results, they inform me that I have BV (I won't go into detail as to what that is for the men in the room). I ask, "what about those bumps? Could those be genital warts?" The nurse said that they didn't test exactly for that! (WHAT?!?) And that I need to keep my appointment with my GYN at the end of the month to be totally rule that out. However she did say that she didn't think I needed to be too concerned because they looked like skin tags.
When I had to give information about myself, I started to cry when they asked me if Michael was still my husband. I said no and then had to say outloud (for the 1st time in that type of situation) that we were divorced. I wasn't bawling or anything, but tears were running down my face.
I hope this is all that is wrong with me and after I take the meds, I will believe that I got myself all worried for just an infection.

Yeah, but if it had been something more serious, it would have been good to get treatment, and you never know. I'm glad you are ok and went to the Dr.! Karen
I am still feeling something is not right with my body. I just can't explain what exactly. And the whole STD thing isn't totally ruled out. The big bump that I had FELL OFF last night. I about freaked out! I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but the pain I was in is much less than it was.
Regardless....the mere fact that it is possible that I COULD have an STD thanks to my exhusband's actions really ticks me off.
