I don't get it either, and I'm here! I know the school situation isn't ideal, but I really don't know what we can do to improve it, realistically. Maybe realism isn't involved?
I took the boys to the birthday party, and then went golfing (the weather was great!), and then to W's parents' house for dinner (the "rich" aunt and uncle passing back through). So, at least it turned out to be a nice afternoon!
