if her meds are helping her then I wouldn't mess with it
Hardy#1 never really tested very high on the ADHD scale that they used. Tehre were some things he tested high on but mostly it was emotional type stuff
withdrawing day dreaming forgetting work
the school psychologist was actually the one that pushed for more emotional and intellectual testing
she felt there were other emotioanl triggers for him
(for example...he really likes certain fabrics and other ones drive him nuts...if his socks are bunched int he toe of his shoe it was like megadrama...when I told her those types of things it was like her whole face changed and she started digging up other tests)
also we had already tried him on celexa but it made him a zombie
he is very much like me (my mom called me overly emotionsl) and really needs to make an emotional connection to get his stuff done etc.
we both test really high on the IQ tests (no tto toot my own horn but i qualified for mensa membership :O)
and
most people with ADD or ADHD have a high IQ...their brains move so fast...its just their emotions have a hard time catching up
