often times gifted kids will be misdiagnosed as ADHD etc because they exhibit some of the same tendancies which is why intelligence testing and emotional testing is vital
it's hard to do iq tests for kids under 10 but they still do apptitude and ability tests
the tests on the computer for example keep going until it becomes too hard
(my son went up to 10th grade reading and 11 grade science and social studies work before he asked them to stop the test)
the school should provide all these teste to you ask in writing they have 30 days to comply or a lawsuit can happen
