GREAT job on the weeding! \:\)

Sounds like you're really getting motivated to redo your room - that's AWESOME, Jeff!!!

Perhaps once you get more into it and finding ways to utilize as well as maximize space, you can share your ideas and what you've done or are planning to do with your W (not seeking her approval, mind you - just sharing what you ARE going to do since it's YOUR room) and ask her if she'd like some help with maximizing space in her room, too. Seems to be an issue in your house.

Example - If you think you want to add more shelving in the closets (or whatever else) and find that it solves the storage issues, suggest doing the same for her in her room. She can take it or leave it. ;\)

Thanks for stopping by, W2S!

I like the idea of being a bit extra creative! Though first I need to get rid of the junk! Once I get things straight, I should be able to get the storage under control, hopefully more by getting rid of stuff than storing it!

I am debating telling her that I plan to do it, or just doing it. My inclination is to just do it. Really show "moving" forward. It's not like it can't be redone!

I really think it was coincidence that she used the drawers. It was at least a week ago, maybe two, that I brought it up. Or, she could be reading this..... in which case I am dead!

I'll be leaning on you guys, I am going to have to get rid of stuff that my instinct is going to want to keep!

((((((GF))))))

It think I may see how "my" room goes, and then consider talking about her's. I think I would like her to see me acting on my own. She has always said I'm not proactive, so I'm going to "decide" what to do on my own.

That's what I meant. \:\)

Don't wait to see what she thinks - you don't need her approval. Just do it, and when you find solutions along the way, you can choose to share them with her. Or not! LOL

Sounds like a plan!

We will of course help you!

But basically...if you haven't used it in a year or two...you obviously don't need it! Now I just need to take my own advice...LMAO

HeeHee, I am giddy about this project of yours. I think you should just go for it - if she seems interested, then take it from there. But I feel you are right, it will be you being proactive.

Good going, my friend. You will see, once you get started, you will beging getting rid of more and more stuff. I have seen it happen with other people. It is freeing! And a 180 and proactive.

And you could be sure I will be here to help you get rid of the stuff you need to.
