Ok , so things are going well.
I have been doing well on behaving and not having 'reactions' or 'too many negative overwhelming '
emotions.
This is mY new 'issue'
I have been trying { half assed at best.. * EYE roll * } to lose weight.
I am 5' 4.5" and my curves have gone a bit wild and I am now fitting comfortably in a size 12.
Anyway no biggie right ?
I love myself and I was going to lose weight just for me, hubby hasn't said a word.

Problem is he has lately been helping the crews do their 'physical labor'

[ *DUH* endorphins ??? and how he is calmer ]
[ so its not a problem \:\/ ]

He is losing weight and now he weighs less than me.
He isnt very big to begin with and still... * black eye *

I have always weighed less than him???????????????? * GLARE *

Holy sh*t , time to get serious....

I do really well and then we he gets home \:o ..
I could eat a horse.

HHMMMM?

Anyway, this could be good , very good , we could do this together?

I could get him to go on walks with me?
ROTFLMAO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~Well it was a nice thought.

Anyway , thinking out loud here....

Hi Ali,

I have never written you before, but I have been following your sitch. Nice to meet you {{A}}

I am built a lot like you, I think. At the first of the year, I was wearing a sz 10/12. I took a job in April which entailed a lot more physical activity and after about a month, the weight started melting off of me. I really haven't altered my eating habits, except that I am not blindly snacking as much (ie chips or popcorn in front of the TV or computer, etc )

I'm with Bridgestone....why don't you powerwalk with the dog? Go for a really long walk, like 45 min - 1 hour. Vary your speed---walk at a steady brisk pace and then really crank it up several times for a burst of 2-3 minutes and then back to just "brisk". It will do wonders for your legs and booty and you WILL burn fat.

I have to do this now in order to "continue" my weight loss. I lost 15 pounds since April and am maintaining there with no problem. But I would still like to trim another 5-7 pounds off, and a good powerwalk with one of my hyper dogs has worked wonders for us both to jumpstart things again.

_____

Don't let the dog intimidate you with his hyperness. Dogs are very sensitive and will key in on any emotion in you.

Take a very "Cesar Milan" leadership approach and be very calm and in control. YOU are in charge, so just be a leader to him and enjoy your walk. The dog just happens to be "along for the ride".

If you walk fast and far enough, the dog should settle in soon and hopefully match your pace...you may even forget he is there. That is what Labby dogs LIVE for!

Ali - its clear you need help with the dog...but I don't think that's your ticket for weight loss...it has to be something consistent and easy.

I bought this thing:

http://www.theairclimber.com/

It gives you a workout similar to a stair master. It only weighs about 8 pounds. It is small and can hide in a corner. You can whip it out and do your 30 minutes on it anytime.

Another good thing to have around is a mini-trampoline. They are fun, and its way more fun than jogging. (Just make sure you get a good sport bra as otherwise your boobs really take a beating with that big jumping...I have found that I can't jump on the trampoline with my man around at all or else he can't take it after a few minutes and attacks me...LOL!)

Anyway the point is that it has to be easy and convenient.

The big dog needs discipline and you need to figure that out...but that is not easy and convenient for regular exercise.

The two suggestions above are good because you can do them when it is raining, when you don't feel good enough to go out to the gym, while you are watching your favorite TV shows....

One of the keys to successful weightloss is to make sure the exercise component is something that you enjoy doing...walking the lab doesn't seem like something you enjoy!

Just some suggestions! Hang in there!

Thinking out loud .....

I am feeling good today despite being voluptuous... too voluptuous for my own good. LOL~ ;\)

I am seeing that the more I am light in my interaction with my husband the better.
I have been smiling more, laughing more and being his friend more.
I still feel it bubbling up in me the feeling of being annoyed or agitated and then I take a deep breath and let it go.
I will not allow myself to sabotage myself anymore, Well as much as is humanly possible.
I can feel myself falling in love with him even more and smiling when he smiles back and enjoying this time with him.
I am really letting go and instead of taking little step and guarded ones at that .
I am fully immersing myself.

I am surrendering to this.
..... and to him more and more every day.
I even got dolled up yesterday not to impress him or make him want to f*ck me { although that is fun too...*}
Just to feel good and feel sexy and feel me!
I am happy to say that I am excited to let him have me and to be who he has always been looking for. I am sure he has waited what seems like forever for me to surrender. Am I still nervous?
Sure?
But this is fun and it is working... I dont think I could have done this before.. I was in to much pain. I was nursing the pain and taking care of it and so I never moved out of that place. I was stuck.
I am also daring to try and do things more just for me.

He seems lighter { not just his weight } and he is enjoying this too.
I wouldn't call it changing me so much anymore ,just removing the ugly. { The negative emotions... and boy there were and are still a lot. BUT I CAN DO IT!~ }
Being naked in front of him , taking the risk.
and not asking ?
DO I look fat? { METAPHORICALLY speaking.. of course... }
Being naked and true and just being who I would be if there weren't so many hurts and baggage laying around.
I think that we are moving forward.. and I am hopeful....

*thumbsup*

I just love you.. No It isn't something I will enjoy it will cause me stress. You know me so well.
I used to walk my little white dog and he weighed 5 lbs and listened to me. This DOG?
I took him with me to have a cup of coffee and I had to hold onto him for dear life and I was soooooooooooooooooooo embarrassed!
I didn't enjoy the coffee or the scone .. NOTHING!
The look on my face was I am b*tch and I hate life. YUCK

Thanks for the tips honey...

And BTW!~\It is hard for me to want to lose weight when the Men ogle me and my hubby hasn't complained... but I do want your tips honey...
So whenever you are ready I am game!
I got some new 'skinny' jeans yesterday and a black twisted neck t shirt and I looked hot as hell.
I have also been "cleansing" the past few days.
Eating clean and focusing on that... but I do need to lose weight.

The best tip I have is the one I shared on Charlie's thread...about how, there is a thing that happens to your body when you learn to enjoy being just a little bit hungry. It can actually make you a little bit "high". I'm not talking about starving yourself. I'm talking about just an edge of hunger.

When you feel that edge of hunger, that is when your body has to consume fat, because if you don't feed it food while you are hungry, then it turns to its "other" food source - - your fat cells. This is what the body is designed to do.

I don't mean starving or being very hungry, because then the body cannot efficiently burn fat cells and instead it (out of desperation) start to eat your muscles and organs. Obviously this is not good for you.

But being just a little bit hungry IS good for you.

So that's the biggest tip. If you can get to that point where you are a little hungry still even after eating a meal...and if you can go with that feeling and feel that little bit of hungry for several days in a row...eventually you will begin to like it. This is when the real weight loss begins. You have to sustain that little bit of hungry and actually enjoy it.

Again, this is different than starving, being very hungry, or feeling deprived.

It is similar to a runner's high....
