I am built a lot like you, I think. At the first of the year, I was wearing a sz 10/12. I took a job in April which entailed a lot more physical activity and after about a month, the weight started melting off of me. I really haven't altered my eating habits, except that I am not blindly snacking as much (ie chips or popcorn in front of the TV or computer, etc )
I'm with Bridgestone....why don't you powerwalk with the dog? Go for a really long walk, like 45 min - 1 hour. Vary your speed---walk at a steady brisk pace and then really crank it up several times for a burst of 2-3 minutes and then back to just "brisk". It will do wonders for your legs and booty and you WILL burn fat.
I have to do this now in order to "continue" my weight loss. I lost 15 pounds since April and am maintaining there with no problem. But I would still like to trim another 5-7 pounds off, and a good powerwalk with one of my hyper dogs has worked wonders for us both to jumpstart things again.
