That's all. Just wanted to say hi and give ya a hug.
Thanks for standing by me and checking in with me so often. I wish I could express how much that means to me and how I look forward to your encouragement (or even an "I don't think you screwed up *that* bad!). \:D

Sounds like you're really doing well. I'm proud to call you my friend.

Thank you!!!

Doing pretty good tonight.

I'm sooo nervous about my doggie's surgery tomorrow. She was pretty much "health problem-less" until last year when she had to have a bunch of teeth pulled. Now she has FOUR lumps on her that need to be removed and a couple biopsied. One by her tail, one on her "hip," one in her "armpit," and one on her chest. Poor girlie... she won't have a comfy side to lay on! But I'm glad they can do it all at once. She's around 12 years old so I don't wanna have her put under too much.

H is totally teasing me because I bought her a special inflatable collar (so she doesn't have to wear the "lamp shade") and a bootie for her foot so she can't scratch open the "armpit" one. When she had her teeth done he kinda acted like I was over-reacting... but I mean, she's kinda my 'kid' since we don't have kids. This surgery he's being MUCH more supportive.. and even teasing me a little.. "C'mere Daddy won't make you wear that awful collar like Mommy does!"... it's just sweet.

I'll be a nervous wreck at work of course.. \:\) but I get to work from home the rest of the week while my pup recuperates so I'm glad for that.

Thanks all for your good wishes!!

H keeps hinting at planning something special for my BD... is it totally wrong to get my hopes up?? Last year I planned my own BD dinner around his race schedule sooo... heck even just planning dinner would be awesome. I'm not expecting a trip to Paris or anything. The girls at work keep telling me "He freaking owes you, he better do something awesome for your BD!" I love them.. they give me strength.

Finishing up party invites (for my "not birthday just end of summer" party) tonight. It's nice looking forward to that.

Party sounds like fun - do I get an invite? ;\)

You are definitely in a much better place this year. I'm sure you will have a great celebration whatever the plans are.

GL to your puppy with the surgery. Glad your H is being so supportive!

Thanks Jak and Michelle!

Michelle - of course! I am just lagging a little on getting the invite out.. \:\) I'm shooting for lunch time today at least for the evite. It's on 9/27 - hope you're free!

Girlie is at the vet now... not so happy with me for leaving her there, but she'll be OK. They told me I could call to check on her "as many times as you want" - ha.. I'd be on the phone with them all day! I'll restrain myself til 3. \:\)

YAY!! She's doing good. Groggy as heck and I'm not sure she knows the ground from the sky.. but she's waking up.

AND... the lumps were no big deal. Just "fatty lumps" (damn can the docs take those off MY tail too ;\) ). I was about 80% worried for the anesthesia and 20% they'd find something bad... so now, totally relieved.

NikB, glad to hear that she is just fat...of course I am just kidding. Trust me when I say I know exactly how horrible it is to wait for those kind of results to come back. I am soooooo glad it turned out to be nothing. Things seem to be going very well for you - and you deserve it. Thanks for all of your support, you cant even imagine how wonderful you have been with your positive thoughts! I'll keep checking in with you because its great to see someone who made it through the rain!

(((BH))) thanks!!

Funny thing is she's actually not even fat.. other than those darn lumps that are now gone. I am SOOO glad they were able to tell me that today instead of a few weeks from now when she gets her stiches (sp?) out. She finally walked around a little bit which was good. Funny... I was baby'ing her so much she wouldn't even stand up. H gets home, loves on her, and she's walking around following him (OK stumbling but still, she got up on her feet). This time around though H said he thought that was good, she needed both the "babying" and the "suck it up" love. \:\)

Anyway, back to you, I'm so glad I've been able to help at all, BH! (((BH))) Where is your "normal" day to day post? Is it in separated? I want to make sure I don't lose track of you.
