Hi Cinders,
I feel your pain.

Weird but one of these days....he will truly have lost me and I will have no regrets.
I know how you feel, as I start thinking the same. I also think we could have a lovely marriage, as I am willing to change, but H isn't.

Yes, you need to keep in touch with H for your kids' sake. I hope you will be able to do it on a friendy basis.

Have a lovely day with your kids and I hope you are able to use your pool. (((HUGS)))

Hello All !!!!

I am happy to share with you that on Friday I have a HUGE surprise for the kids and myself ! I have a adopted a dog !!! I adopted him through Rescue Dogs Europe, an organization that rescues dogs from horrible situations...
The dog I have adopted is called Pluto and is a black and white Cocker Spaniel. He was found on a leash, with no warm place to sleep or roof over his head, he had been suffering from some eye infections and another illness, of which he is now recuperating well ! He is on his way over from Spain tomorrow and will arrive here on Friday !

I am so glad that I have decided to do this. It was easy to just go out and get the kids a puppy. Pluto however is 3 or 4 years old and deserves a loving home. I am happy that I will be giving him that. I feel good about what I am doing and feel that I can give something 'back' this way !

I am greatful for all the things we have in life, as we are very fortunate, and I felt that I should do may share in SHARING !

SO....kids don't know yet ! Hopefully Pluto will be here after school on Friday ! I'm sure my kids will love him to bits ! As will I !

Ok, that was my big news !!! xxx

I am happy that you have a new dog!!

Cinders, I was catching up on your thread and wanted to say something. You and I have had conversations about what He wants and how we will find times to be challenging on what we are supposed to do.

You have already done so much more than most.

Let me ask but you shouldn't answer me; just answer to yourself. Have you talked to Him about what He wants you to do?

Have you assessed what your "feelings" mean?

And while I will say no one, i.e. no human person, can say whether your husband will come back, we have no way of knowing whether your H will allow God to work in his life. Regardless of the circumstances or current (or even past) behaviors, no one can say, ourselves included, whether or not H will come back.

The important thing is to listen to Him. If He tells you, Cinders, I love you and I want "fill in the blank" for you, so do "fill in the blank", I would recommend that course. Try not to "lean on your own understanding" Proverbs 3:5-6

We, most of the people in your lives, care about you. We want you to be happy and not to be hurt anymore. Instead, I need to trust in Him to take care of you just as much as I need to trust that He will take care of me.

Sweet sweet MMF,

You are such a kind and loving man ! I love you so much for caring so much about me. You have a special place in my heart.

Have I aked HIM...? Yes, I have. No answer yet....OR, I am just not capable of 'hearing' it yet...

I pray and ask and leave it up to HIM in most ways, but I also try to keep my life going and enjoying it.
In my heart I am not ready to stop standing. But in my mind, I see hurdles in ever getting back with H. As long as I'm not sure about anything I just live my life as good as I can and with as much respect for myself and H as I can.

I LOVE that I have made the decision to adopt Pluto. I LOVE that it's part of MY NEW LIFE.

It's still hard at times, but as D9's psychologist told me yesterday....I need to set my boundaries and stick to them. That is important for me and for our kids.

I think I'm not doing too bad and I am proud of how far I have come ! \:\)

Love you xxx

You sound like you are doing great Cinders. I would say that your psychologist is giving you great advice (and could apply to any of us).

And I bet Pluto is awesome! I am glad you got him.

A new addition to your family? You love the spaniel! Is Pluto the name you selected or did the rescue group tag him w/that name? Your kids are going to adore him and so will you.

I'm very happy to see you moving along and a pet is one of the steps in the right direction. Enjoy him for he will bring you and the children much comfort!

Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to.
The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.

Thanks MWG !

Snodderly...Pluto is his name. The rescue group might have given it to him yes...

I can't wait for him to arrive tomorrow, he will truly bring joy and warmth into our home and we shall give him love and cuddles !

The kids don't know yet, all they know is that there is a surprise coming !

I am very excited ! And I'll keep you all posted ! xxx
