Good morning. Today is D13's birthday so she is now 'officially' 13. Two teenage girls in my house! Oh No!
W came by this morning to pick up D17 for school and she went up to D13's room to wake her up and wish her a happy birthday. I was in the kitchen already getting the morning chores done with D17.
W had one of those little mylar Happy Birthday balloons on a stick and wanted it to be standing up in the kitchen but she couldn't find something to put it in. We have a bowl with various fruit on the counter all the time and so she stuck it in a banana.
I made fun of her for doing that and she laughed.
I was surprised that she didn't stick around afterwards. She left and came back a half hour later to pick up D13 for school. We joked about how we now have two teenagers.
D13 asked me if mom was coming over for dinner tonight and I told her 'of course, we're all going to be here for your birthday'.
I'm just having fun today. I don't know why I feel like this but it's good.
