Hmmm--and I spent so much time trying to get that first paragraph to be non-confrontational.

Spider, eh? Well, that's a first. I've never been called a spider before. Oh, I forgot--you don't call people names....

Phil, dude....
Where in my post did I ever say that the Catholic Church is not true? I didn't! In fact, I believe I spent quite a few words saying I wasn't challenging that, but only your way of communicating. And then you go and prove me right. You can tell it like it is and be heard, or you can tell it like it is and p*ss people off so they want no part of what you say. Which would you think would be more effective communication? It's not even liberal bias, Phil--it's just diplomacy! People will understand what you're saying so much better if you say it respectfully.

Here's a tip--if you want to be taken seriously, it might be a good idea not to use words like "idiotic." Now there's an example of not being respectful in your choice of words. Just in case you were wondering.

Why do I post to you, especially on matters of religion? I'm just defending the faith. As for being an amateur theologian and knowing more than the experts--Yes, I'm sure you're correct. No doubt about it.

I am a Catholic and have pretty much acted like a Catholic (and I have about 2300 witnesses who will back me up on that at my parish). Nevertheless, Phil, I will likely soon be divorced. Whether or not I go along with it. I so wish you were right about that.
