Yes SG - We had enough of those days. But they will be in the past for sure! On to better times.

Sun is shining. All over my yard that still has tables etc in it from the reunion. Ash was supposed to put them away last week. Hmmm...

My carpet has new stains on it and the floors are dirty. Hmmm...

My frig is full of beer (I don't like beer) and the bottles are coated in sand (yes sand!). Hmmm...

I think the partying around here has to end. Ash is nearly 20 and she should know better.

It is not HORRIBLE - but it isn't great either.

ANd she is a BITCH when it comes to being disciplined.

Oh well.

Gotta get on with it so I can start my Perfect Day.

Well, today is lookin' good! The sun is shining and I'm up early (by choice). Ashley nearly finished cleaning the house last evening (her job - I pay her for most of it). But the doorbell rang and interrupted her. And there was her ex, her high school boyfriend whom I adore. OH I wish they'd get back together - he has such a bright future and I love him and his family. He was returning from his summer of working in Banff and his mountain photos were stunning. He stayed long after Ash went out, sharing photos and memories with me.

Today is Lobsterfest. My friends and I will gather for the feast held nearby. All you can eat lobster, prime rib, pasta, salad and dessert. PIGFEST would be a better description. And we get all dressed up to slop butter over ourselves and those silly plastic bibs.

One of my friends is going through a tough time. She says her H is cheating and leaving though she has been through some delusional episodes as well so we're not sure if this is so. Seems kind of unlucky but we all thought that, didn't we. At any rate, she is cancelling on Lobsterfest. Ash said to me yesterday that she had thought of inviting ex BF but her prospective new guy is attending and asked her not to. Hmmm - I wanted to invite him but won't go against Ash. Too bad - he fits in so well. Josh called while he was here so I put her Ex on the phone and they had a nice chat too. They always got along so well. Oh well.

Following Lobsterfest, Josh and I usually spend some time in the hot tub. Helps to get the smell off (LOL) and we sip more wine. Tommorrow we will likely picnic for lunch and go wine tasting or shopping then we've been invited for a bbq and swim at our friends' home. That will be fun too as I adore them.

And on top of it all, we are celebrating Ashley's 20th birthday this w/e. She opted to do it early so she can go out with her friends on her actual day. This frees me to go back to the cottage midweek after getting the dance studio open. Today I need to get her gifts. I asked her if she knew what her dad was getting so we don't duplicate. She told him I'd likely get her a new camera so I guess I will - that was what I'd planned. But then she asked him for a gift certificate for an electronics store. He told her a different electronics store was better. She prefers F, he prefers BB. WTF? It is her birthday. Get her the one she prefers. She appeared miffed. And I thought to myself - "It is still all about him. It would cost him the same at either store and it should be where SHE wants to shop. But no - he has to have it his way". I'm sure most of you can relate to this. Just a little reminder of how I DO NOT MISS THAT MAN!

Open house went fabulous at the dance school the past 2 nights. We are shaping up for a perfect year. Every staff member seems to be right on board and it is refreshing. And it all worked out - I will not be teaching this year. For the first time since I was 12!!! (I am NOT kidding).

And Josh and I plan to finalize our Australia/New Zealand cruise plans this week. And I'm working on other winter travel plans. It is much easier without the teaching commitment. I still need to run the show but it can be done from my computer while I'm away.

I'm a happy girl. And this is going to be a Perfect Day! I hope yours is too.

Is there a website I can visit abut the Lobsterfest? This is something I'd love to do someday.

Glad you're having another perfect day and your trip sounds awesome!!! My dream trip is the Greek Islands.

Jilly Bean - Why not visit me and come to Lobsterfest. Let's see - if you got in the car right now - heck - you'd have time to shower and get dressed in plenty of time.

I don't think there is a website but there might be on the Rotary Club's site. They host the event so all the $ is for charity. Leenie is coming. I get a table every year so if anyone wants in for next year - tell me now cuz I'm thining of sharing a table with someone else so I don't get stuck with tickets at the last minute ever again.

Uh, Barb, I'm still in my jammies!!! I love lobster and I love fests so I wanna come!!!! Do I have to shower? I'm gonna get all yucky anyway? Maybe, I'll bring my super plastic see thru rain coat and an umbrella???

I'm definitely interested for next year and the timing would be perfect if all my family remains healthy, the stars align, my D graduates and I haven't gotten hit by a truck. While you're there, could you pick up some info for me and I'll send you my addy????

Hey Jill,

Although this is typically one of the busiest weeks of the year - maybe we could make it our DB get together. Think on it.

Not sure if there is any info but I'll take a look. If not - I got the info.
