I'm glad the storm missed you!!!! I'm sure I'll feel more high (is that the right word?) tomorrow. You know me! Yeah, I'm thinking North Dakota or something like that sounds good, some place with no hurricanes!!! I think TX and FL are the two worst states lately!!! I'm worried the rental car isn't going to make it thru all these storms!!! Karen

Maybe that's where a few occasional "truth darts" can come in. I find it's best to let a little steam off the top of the kettle every now and again, rather than let the whole damned thing blow, kwim??
Try landing 2-3 each week, and see that it does WONDERS for your self-esteem!
(a good example after the storm might have been "Forget what you think about ME at the moment; Do you even realize how incredibly self-centered it is to not check up on your own children when a tropical storm is coming? Unbelievable." (and then walk away)
So now you get to watch "Hanna" and "Ike". I keep watching the weather to see where all the storms are going now that I have more friends in Florida.
Wahtever you end up saying to H as far as a truth dart, I am sure will be fine. I like puppies suggestion. Really if you don't let it out, at least a bit, you might just really let him have it!

Well I pretty much had a good day today. Very busy, cleaning, homeschooling, etc. D8 and I went to a pool party for the church kids but there were a bunch of moms there also. It rained almost the while time, so the kids only had about 20 minutes in the pool, but such is life here lately! I was just glad it wasn't a hurricane!!!
I was a GALing champ tonight (I think). Came home made dinner then got myself fixed up, even put lip gloss on! and was going out right after H pulled in as he was a little early. I just ran errands but still was fun. I went to the drugstore and got some hair color stuff but I chickened out and didn't get the blonder color I planned, but just the same dark blonde color I've had the past year. But it's supposed to add shine and cover the grays so since this is my 1st time coloring I thought it was being brave of me to do that. When I told D8 she said I am a chicken, so I told her if this works out I will go really blonde or bright red or something next time!!!
Then came home and did go upstairs to work out b/c I wanted/needed to, but then came down right before H left to work somemore on the kitchen (I'm still covering all the molding in painter's tape but hope to actually prime tomorrow)! So I'm no longer "hiding out" anymore as y'all suggested and were right about of course!
I told H I had bought the primer and tape, but still needed to get the yellow paint and needed $10 or so for that still. He was telling me I was blowing the paint money as he's given me $20 twice as he walked out the door. Well, I was steamed over that b/c that's how he views stuff; he's on vacation and I'm blowing the money.
Well, I emailed him I spent $80 on storm prep, ice, batteries, flashlights, canned food, etc as we had none of that! Then I had to throw out the food in the frig and freezer and replace it all. $25 for the rental car deposit, etc. I told him it's not like I'm blowing the money on eating out or something. Do you think he's just a total idiot or an a$$ I can't decide!!! Probably shouldn't have sent the email but it felt good and it was just such a ridiculous comment to make by somebody spending money on a vacation with his girlfriend while his W is trying to feed the kids!!!
BTW, tonight I was really feeling strong, dropped rope, and looking forward to having a healthy R with a nice guy sometime hopefully in the near future!!!! Karen
I vote Ass. With selfish on the side. I have one of those too! He is constantly asking me where our money is! Um, we spend about $500 on legal fees/month, oh and we are living 2 lives on the same amount of money. That's where our money is!

As far as the painting goes. He's getting off easy and cheap. First of all he is not having to lift a finger to paint. We know that's not the most enjoyable thing to do. Second of all what if he had to hire someone to do it? So yes, he is both an a$$ and idiot. I bet we all could add to the list...
