Thats a great idea, really cool. I used to do little stuff like that for my ex BEFORE he left me! Grr. Its a shame your H continues to chat to you in very neutral ways, about football, his boring day, etc etc, his ironing... !?? Did your DB coach say anything about how you can shake it up a bit? Maybe like me, dont pay attnetion to this run of the mill boring stuff?? Maybe say, hey I went to see some guatamalan bread weaving the other night...I dont know! Seems like you need to break that cycle somehow.

Great that he wants to meet you for coffee! (you have the cushiest job, popping out to meet peeps for coffees in the day!)

Hey Al,

I haven't mentioned the content of the e-mails H sends me to my coach- when we see each other we do discuss other things (although football does (and did) reign in our house). I just thought it reflected him being a bloke and mainly wanting to talk about fact based stuff.

I'm slowly adding in other stuff- flirtatious comments, observations about what happens in my office (it's like the actual David Brent Office, with CEO and the other 6 characters- a mincing FD, cockney geezer, possible lesbian, MLC man, very rich daughter of a multi-millionaire and pot-bellied short man with short man syndrome).

Guatamalan bread weaving isn't something I've tried, but it DOES sound pretty different! LOL. Did your coach advise you to steer clear of all boring topics, or just BFs depression/tired/ill stuff? She advised me to join H when he complains about work being boring by agreeing it must suck.

LOL on the job. It's good some days- flexible, what with all that trying to find giants' shoulders to stand on!
