My weekend was pretty good.

Got home Sunday. Didn't want to be on the highway yesterday as everyone else made there way back from wherever.

The first part of Saturday is a blur. The second part was pretty good. Went with FA and his son to pick up his daughter from the airport. She had been at her grandmothers for a couple of weeks and some. So we went for pizza and the book store afterward.

Went on a big hike yesterday. Up some steep hills, over rocks and tree roots, all around a lake. Kept an eye out for cougar and bears. Signs were posted all along to watch for them and keep kids and animals close. Didn't see any but some other hikers passing said they saw some deer. I didn't see those either.
It was very scenic though, looking down on the lake and walking past streams and on bridges. There are some all day hikes that I may do eventually. Much more high up the hill and rugged too. I need to be in better shape for that though so I am working at it.

All in all, a good weekend.

Today, I play catch up on the home front.

Trip......

The hiking sounds great. I bet it must be so pretty. The only thing is the bear stuff would scare me. Remember when bears stayed in there neck of the woods and hiking was peaceful? Shoot, they've ruined it for us humans. Thanks Yogi!

I have a brand new pair of hiking boots just calling my name. Not too many good places to use them here, but I am working on breaking them in. Just not sure where yet!

Love,
Bethie

Hehehe! Yeah, I kept thinking that a cougar might jump on my back and eat me.

There has been numerous bear sightings around the area where I live now, too. One even was roaming around a fruit and vegetable market. Walking down the sidewalk like he owned the place. My actual belief is that he does but that is neither here nor there at this point.

I need to get some good hiking boots. The ones I have don't cut it, so I just wore my running shoes yesterday. They did the job but with the tougher stuff and not so good weather, I will need the boots.
