Okay so I did it... H called me this morning about our car insurance, and we got to chitchatting. I brought up the subject by telling him I thought it was really funny that our old instructor was playing at our party. He said they are not cheap, he has seen them play many years ago when they first met, before he met me, and they are very good. So I took the opportunity to invite him to the party, and he said he thought he might be on call, but he would check, and if he had time he would stop in. I told him no pressure, just if he didn't have other plans.
Now I don't really expect him to actually come, but it was great because it was the first time in a while that he didn't say no outright!!! Then we proceeded to have a very nice conversation for about 1/2 hour, and when I made the move to get off the phone, he kept talking a bit.
It was a great conversation, and I am really glad I got to talk to him! What do you think?
