I know it was a long post and could have been twice as long really. The way she has acted and continues to act with the sons has made me cry more than once. My FIL and I have had some quality talks, and when he talks about what he missed and how he shoudl have been stronger when they were little, its made me cry and him. Even his ex-stepmom has cried over their childhood. She is only 12 yrs older than us, but she has a big heart. She has huge portraits of the boys when they were little hung up all over her house. She does consider them *her kids*. My H didn't even consider his little brother and sister, his little brother and sister until we got together. All because his mother had ingrained in his head that they weren't. He actually called them steps. Now he has a great relationship with them. His little sister and I are pretty close. (she's only 3 yrs older than my oldest)
My D always has a camera handy...she plans to be a photojournalist...I think I like your idea Jen. I'm going to tell her to have it on the ready. :):):)
