Nothing has happened yet. They are closing Tulane at noon today, and people are supposed to start evacuating from New Orleans tomorrow. The storm track has been pushed a little further to the west, but really, the storm hasn't moved in 2 days, so it's all conjecture at this point. She will not be in her house in New Olreans; she would be north of the lake where land is at 10-15 feet above sea level. I don't know if there will be an evacuation north of the lake. That is what I need to find out. Either she will be alone in the house in the country, or with her roommates' parents in their house (which did not have any damage during Katrina).
I will wait til after noon her time and start calling again. I just want to know where she will be and who she will be with. But it would have been a good time to come home and visit her mother!
