Good morning to you All and all my DB friends!

Today is cloudy and a little drizzly but the forecast is fab. It will clear by afternoon and will be one of the sunniest, warmest w/es of the summer. I guess that's not really saying much here but it is promising!

Josh is going to try to knock off work early to begin the sojourn north. Holiday w/e traffic is horrible. Toronto is noted to have the worst commute in North America. I have learned to avoid the Fri/Sun cottage traffic. Easier now that I have no school aged children.

SO, I should begin stripping today. Wallpaper that is. So far I have not been motivated. Anyone with experience have any advice on this? I just want it done. I don't want to do it. Have not option - LOL!

I miss the little kittens. I see their bowl out there and missed tripping over them and 3 little mouths open, mewing for food. I am glad they will have a better life now.

Josh and I plan to go to the wildlife center nearby this Sunday. It is one amazing place. An elderly lady takes in and cares for any abandoned or injured wild animal. She has done this for years. Most are rehabilitated and released back into the wild. But some cannot be and she houses them. This year they have a young moose. Got him at 6 days old when his mom was hit by a car. There are always lots of raccoon kits, baby bears, beavers, skunks, fawns etc. She has wolves and even a lion! Some people take in exotic pets then learn that they grow up and they can't care for them. My mother loved this place! She and my Dad and now Josh and I always make donations to help them keep this place going. For what wonderful work they do!

I will tidy up today (sometimes when you're alone you get a bit sloppy) and look forward to adult accompaniment. I should also hone my Scrabble skills since he beat me last w/e. And I don't take losing lying down. (well, usually I don't - LOL!)

Happy Friday everyone! Tell me of your w/e plans.
