I have learned that bad things happen to good people all the time. Look at all the innocent victims of crime and war. Children included. It IS because of the free will He gave man. It has been nearly two years for me being a Christian. Former Catholic that was non-practicing. Agnostic actually for several years prior. My sitch is what brought me to Christ.
But your right. Being tested, my faith has waivered as well. A visiting minister one said that we don't WANT to know what is going to happen. What if Mary knew what was going to eventually happen to her son? Could she have followed the path that was chosen for her? Like Jack said, "You can't handle the truth!!"
In the flesh, we can't understand.
So what do we do? We pray that that our spouses can "find" their way back through the fog. And if not, for Him to let us find the path that He wants for us.
