Well, one of the nicest things that has come from AG's crap has been the wonderful responses and visits of posters past and present. To stand. To say hello. To update. I'm so glad you came here today.
And yes, Pam, nothing changes. Almost Gone has been almost gone for 5 years but she can't say goodbye. Just "I'm leaving". Be it the bb or on her vacation. And she emails with Soup and a few others and no doubt begs them to post affirmation on her thread. Silly stuff. Its not positive stuff when you've read it daily for years - it is stagnant. I for one am very worried that she might actually adopt and she is not stable enough to care for a child. She is too self absorbed.
But enough about that. We beat it to death yesterday.
I am so glad that in the earlier days we had email addresses because we sure carried each other in the darkest hours. I got a couple of emails yesterday and this morning from bb acquaintances who had never contacted me before. Through a friend of a friend I guess. But they all echoed the same sentiment "Good for you Barb. It is what "I" wanted to do". This affirmation has made my day.
Nope, I don't like spending precious summer cottage time on this crap. But it affected and brought down so many good people that I needed to say ENOUGH! And I have no regrets. Of course if the bb won't stop her - she will continue. Every one of her posts should be monitored forever since she will slip back into caustic mode the minute she is sure she is not being watched.
OK, when I see her name on the bb - there is a magnifying glass beside her name on her posts. What is that for? I assume it means she is under watch. No one else seems to see this.Why do I?
