Hey Lissie, I am starting to get a better feel for how hard it has been for you to deal with your kids being around OW.
It isn't an easy pill to swallow is it. I have been pretty quiet lately, mostly just thinking about all that has gone on over the last few years.
It finally kind of hit me that sometimes optimism in my outlook on other people can be somewhat of a detriment. I believe you and I think the same way for the most part. That we believe in moral fiber and that people generally have good character. Because of this we take it hard when people do not live up to our morals and ethics.
My point in all of this, that at some point people like us have to simply accept that there are people out there like our X's that lose sight of what is important and what is the "right" things to do. We cannot control it, all we can do is continue to be there to pick up the pieces as things fall apart.
That is the incredible benefit that your children have Lis, they have a mom who will always be there to pick up the pieces and guide them as they grow. YOU are the one teaching your children about growing up, building real relationships, and commitment.
As M & M grow into adults, I have absolutely no doubt that they will have a solid moral and ethical foundation simply from watching their incredible mother traverse life in front of their very eyes. Hold onto that bean, your kids will have incredible lives despite their fathers actions, simply because of you.
