I have friends who are big wigs in both flavors of your denomination. Once the D is final, on your command, I can pull some strings and get these guys in very hot water.
You see, if they are not protecting you, then they are protecting your husband, the guy having an affair and divorcing you.
I know you are not vindictive, but the problem is much bigger than you. A pastor and a group of elders who tolerate adultery and refuse to protect a mother and child have broken their pastoral trust with the whole congreation and their denomination.
