I talk to her every day or two, usually. I like to keep on the "mundane" day to day stuff. I think showing that interest is important to her (and important to me to stay connected). D14 sent me a CD of songs she "remixed" on her computer. Sounded awful but I was glad that she wanted to send it to me!

Yea... what's up with the earth that they found, anyway? Is it past, future, unrelated to real life timeline?
I personally believe it is an alternate timeline. If it was the future, thousands and thousands of years in the future, I would have thought they would have better technology and actual records of the journey away from earth as apposed to just legends. But then again, it's up for debate, you just never know.

Pod people, aliens, bizarro-W... all that describe the WAS pretty accurately. I couldn't believe W was the same person I married, and the same person I see every morning now. She sure did look like her, but the changes/transformation is stunning.
Of course, there are no aliens in BSG. That is part of the interesting thing about it -- it is primarily involved with humanity, what defines us, and how we interact with each other -- but veils it in sci-fi. Also, the battle scenes are wicked-cool.
