OMG K, we've got to get you out more!
Hey SG,
Hopefully once you're out and back into the swing of things life will be full and your mood will be brighter. I bet that as wonderful as summer is the downtime can work on you.

Oh no I love fall, but I feel sad (and giddy) at the thought of you spending the last weekend of summer sitting and waiting for that song to come on!
Hopefully once you're out and back into the swing of things life will be full and your mood will be brighter. I bet that as wonderful as summer is the downtime can work on you.
Take care.......
Love, Bethie
You are right, this is so true, this year more than others. I think (I just now realized this) that this is the FIRST SUMMER with NO KIDS at home!
Duh! How could I be so dense! Last summer my DD was here, and although her piles of laundry got on my nerves, she was a sweet presence in the house every morning and someone to cook for and watch videos with.
I think she also had a bit of a hard time this summer...she stayed in her apartment mostly by herself this summer. I guess we are "People who need people!"
Nice of you to stop by, Bethie...even if you did cause the usual ruckus! LOL!
love, SG

Just because I lose library books we can't be friends?
I actually have a good friend who is a librarian...She is the one who visited me at the Hot Springs earlier this week. She has checked the shelves.
I am at a loss because I have been cleaning and clearing up all summer...Oh well. In this case Barnes and Nobel would have been a good choice, since I will end up paying for them anyway.
piffle!

Yesterday I had an interview...for a really good job...and if I get it I will have to move.
I am inspired by Figgy moving like she is for her job. However this is something that is difficult for me to contemplate.
I have been looking for a "good job" for about 2 years now. Since I graduated w/my MA. I did have that one job for a few months. While it was good pay, nothing else about it was good.
One of the things that has been wearing me down is the work/money situation. I have been patching together enough work to pay the bills, but it is difficult working part time for 2 or 3 different agencies. There are that many different meetings, managers, customers, etc. I would like to be able to focus on one thing for a change.
I have been getting interviews at really good jobs that are highly competitive, but not clinching the job. One job had over 600 applicants and I was one of the people who passed 3 hurdles to the interview. Yesterday they only interviewed 4 of us. I should know within 2 weeks.
If I get it I will have to move. If I move I will be renting out my house and putting many of the contents in storage. I live in a college town with a very low vacancy rate, and I can rent for more than my mortgage.
You California folks might spit out your coffee when I tell you where I would be moving.... A little town in the Central Valley between Fresno and Pasa Robles...Coalinga!
The job is actually one that would be perfect for me tho, with lots of opportunity for growth, and the money is good too!
So I am praying for "this or something better"
Because who knows where it could lead?
