Apparently your prayers are working. D23 is there and back, and happy in her new car. And S19's flight was cancelled, so he's been changed to a direct flight that will get him here an hour earlier. I guess I should clean the house.
All is well. S19 is asleep in his bed with his dog. I only have him for a day and a half, then he goes back. And the news is: he thinks he found a house he could live in to go to college in NJ, so he may not come back next week as planned. This will be the topic for the next day and a half. We have to get this figured out, whether to start college here or there. The reason for coming home was to register for the local college which starts this week. I have mixed feelings. He has said for several years that he wants to live in NJ. (I know, odd goal, but this is at the beach and he's a surfer. HFF, you still in that wetsuit?)So part of me wants him to live under my roof and be here for me to talk to, and part of me wants him to go off and try to live his dreams.
