M,

It's good to hear that you are making such great progress on the new place. Also, it's obvious who the bigger person is in this too, I seriously doubt the STBX would have done everything you have and cleaned up too if the roles were reversed! Take care man!

Hey Mike, I know how difficult the daughter aspect in all of this is. I also was told by a little birdie that your moms house has internet access.... so suck it up and go hang out at mom's for a couple of weeks.

I'll take the trash off and I thought I would change the well water filter since my D drinks the water here. I wonder why I am doing these things

This is a prime example of what defines a quality man. Your ability to not succumb to the anger and bitterness and simply do what is right instead. I am very proud of you for this buddy.

So you have an extra room do ya.....hmmm

Mike--

I am so glad you are almost done at the "old" house. Your SYBX makes me a LOT nervous. I can only imagine how much you are missing your daughter and how much more you will when you are in the new house.

I think that is one of the hardest things for me to understand about the WAS. How do you walk out on your kids willingly?? The kids trust them to protect them and instead the WAS does some of the biggest damage. SIGH

Sending hugs and love your way, bro.

Tonight is probably my last night in my home as well. However, my husband is being very kind and showing no signs of psychosis. I am forever grateful for that.

You and your little angel will adjust. It still sucks... this isn't what you signed up for but you're going to be OK. Your daughter is lucky to have such a great daddy.

Mike,

Good to see that you are finally getting out of that house. You really do need to put some distance between you and your STBX.

Try not to miss your D too much. Enjoy the time you will have with her.

Take care,

Tim

Good after noon all.

Karma can be a b**ch. I thought my STBX had only sprained an ankle yesterday but found out this AM that she tore the meniscus in her left knee. She is wearing a brace(had to ask me for help in putting it on this am) ;). I also had to help get D in the car and help STBX in the car also. ;\)

My STBX left a note for the housekeeper today describing the injury so that's how I knew what it was. I changed the water filter and took the trash. I cleaned up a bit upstairs and will work on the garage in a bit.

It is her left knee so she can drive. Her dad and step mom are set to arrive soon so she will have plenty of help this weekend. Her biggest Relay event of the year is this weekend..it the American Cancer Societies Cattle Baron's Ball..I bet that will be tough on 1 leg. Looks like she may have to have surgery in 2 weeks.

While going through a closet upstairs I found my STBX's hope chest. It's filled with stuff she kept from when we first met. She kept 3 labels from the beer bottles we drank from. All the old cards and letters. She kept the box that the engagement ring came in..

It has been a bittersweet day.

I must go now. Say a prayer for me please.
